Who Can Play?
Any dog that meets the following qualifications is welcome to join us on our walks and playdates:
- Be 5 months or older for the main playgroup
- Be current on all vaccinations. Owners must submit copies of your dog's current medical records showing they have been vaccinated for Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella. Vaccinations must be within the last eleven months. Specifically, the vaccines required are: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. These shots are more commonly referred to as "DHLPP"; "5-in-1"; or "6-in-1". Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is required every year for the safety of all dogs.
- Be in good health.
- Be spayed or neutered (with the exception of puppies younger than seven months).
- Be on a flea control program.
- Pass a temperament evaluation.
Temperament Evaluation
To ensure safety for all our dogs and staff, we will evaluate the temperament of your dog.
It is extremely important that each dog interact appropriately with other dogs. As part of the
evaluation, we will ask about your dog's history (socialization, interactions with other dogs, etc.).
Once the written evaluation is complete, we will admit your dog into the playgroup on a trial basis.
We will monitor your dog's body language and reactions. If all goes well, your dog can participate
in a Playdate.
